One Response to “How Dangerous Is Moderate Drinking?”

  1. Sarah Says:

Somehow, I think, In your desperate defense of alcohol, you fail to acknowledge the extreme risks of moderate drinking. Instead of trying to undermine all of the evident consequences of drinking, understand that there is much truth in what the author of the article was trying to say. Many people lose sight of the real question. Instead of, “What’s wrong with alcohol?” what we really need to ask is, “What’s right with alcohol?” I say these things not to try to offend anyone…I personally have been affected tragically by alcohol’s influence. My great-grandfather died an alcoholic, my grandfather is an alcoholic, my two uncles are alcoholics, and my aunt is recovering from alcoholism. My two cousins live with my family because their parents are alcoholics. A woman who was good friends with a friend of mine went completely off the deep end after she began to drink “in moderation”. Please, please don’t unconsciously lead others to the same fate. -Sarah, age 17
